Our Apprenticeship Programme

Our apprenticeship programmes are delivered in partnership with SOLAS and Generation Apprenticeship, combining hands-on experience with structured learning.

The programme consists of seven phases:

Three off-the-job training phases in dedicated education centres
Four on-the-job phases working across live projects throughout Ireland

This blended approach ensures apprentices develop both practical skills and technical knowledge in real-world environments.

Why choose an apprenticeship?

For a lot of young people, college can be presented to the as the only career path. Choosing an apprenticeship means young people can avoid the CAO points race and earn while they learn an internationally recognised trade. At Tim Kelly Group apprentices have the opportunity to work on a wide range of high profile projects across Ireland and learn from some of the most experienced tradespeople.

One of our recent graduates of the Electrician apprenticeship programme Sonny shares his experience of the an apprenticeship with Tim Kelly Group.

‘My experience as an apprentice has been incredibly rewarding. The programme provided me with hands-on learning opportunities, allowing me to develop my skills in real-world scenarios. I appreciated the guidance and mentorship from the qualified, experienced electricians who were always willing to share their knowledge and offer support. One highlight for me was the variety of sectors I got experience working in. They not only challenged me but also gave me confidence in my abilities.  For future apprentices, I would say, make the most of every opportunity, ask questions, and do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, you will learn so much in the process.’
