Three Tim Kelly Group Electrical Apprentices to Compete at WorldSkills Ireland

Tim Kelly Group is thrilled to share some exciting news! Three of our apprentices Joseph, Dara and Andrew have been selected to take part in the preliminary round of the WorldSkills Ireland Industrial Controls competition.

About WorldSkills Ireland

WorldSkills Ireland (formerly National Skills) is Ireland’s premier national skills competition, showcasing the talents of young apprentices and students across dozens of technical and vocational disciplines. The preliminary round will be held at ATU Sligo on 13th June 2025, where Joseph, Dara and Andrew will take on an intense eight-hour practical electrical challenge alongside other top candidates from across the country.

Rising stars at Tim Kelly Group

The trio were selected by their lecturers in recognition of their exceptional technical ability and consistent high performance. If successful in the preliminary round, they will go on to compete in the WorldSkills Ireland at the RDS, Dublin, in September 2025, and potentially represent Ireland at the WorldSkills International Competition in Shanghai in 2026.

This marks the first time that three of our apprentices have been selected to compete at WorldSkills Ireland, a proud milestone that reflects the outstanding skill, dedication, and potential of the next generation of tradespeople at Tim Kelly Group.

As one of Ireland’s leading recruiters of Mechanical and Electrical apprentices, we are committed to training, mentoring, and supporting the future of our industry.

Best of luck to Joseph, Dara and Andrew from all the team at Tim Kelly Group!
